2003-02-05 . 1:49 p.m. . Life is good! Hmmm...Wednesday, what to say about Wednesday? I'll begin with a cute thing that happened to me the other day in the PX. I was standing in an aisle looking at some of the beauty/cosmetic stuff and I noticed this little girl next to me, looking at me. I pretended not to notice her staring until she pulled on her mom's coat and pointed at me and said, "Mama, look...she's gonna have a baby.." I melted. I looked down at her and smiled, it almost brought me to tears....I have absolutely NO idea why, at this point, looking back, but it was sweet and she was talking about me. I think that maybe it hit home with me and I was like, "Hey, yeah....I'm going to have a baby..."...hmmm, crazy! I am still loving every minute of it though. Our baby makes his presence known throughout the day with wild kicks and powerful jabs. However, I did have my first run in with pregnancy symptoms yesterday. I woke up with throbbing legs and I couldn't figure out why. I mean, let's be honest, we all know that a little treadmill isn't going to make my legs throb. Anyway, I went to the gym and worked out, but I had to stop after 20 minutes because my legs were hurting. So, after getting ready, I went and spent lunch with my wonderful husband....I love every second I get to spend with him....ANYWAY, against my doctor's advice I continue to wear my 3 inch boots. Well, as of yesterday I did. These boots seemed to just make my legs worse, almost to the point of not being able to walk and definitely not squat down. My friend Theresa told me that this was my circulation get bad from all the pressure from my BIG belly. So, I retired the boots. It was a sad day, but I think my legs and veins will thank me. My stomach continues to grow, but it just looks like a basketball stuck to the front of me that is RAPIDLY filling. I just love knowing that our baby boy is inside of me growing bigger everyday. It's an amazing thing, this pregnancy!
